Scope and Applicability
This protocol describes the procedure for real-time assessment of cardiac function in adult Drosophila using the Vevo F2 LT high-frequency ultrasound imaging system. The method enables non-invasive visualization and quantification of heartbeat dynamics, including contraction–relaxation cycles, heart rate, and chamber motion. This SOP provides a standardized framework for acquiring high-resolution ultrasonographic images and analyzing cardiac performance under various physiological or experimental conditions.
